Friday 14 November at 7.30 pm in the Merry Bells: Public meeting and launch of the book They Were a Wall: Wheatley in a World at War 1914-19. Speakers: John Fox, Judith Ormston and John Prest. Copies for sale @ £4.99.

Saturday 15 November 10 am to 4 pm in the Merry Bells: Exhibition of WW1 photos and memorabilia.
Tea and coffee available during the day.
Also, Thursday 13 November 8 pm at the URC: All Quiet on the Western Front: a tapestry of readings from Erich Maria-Remarque’s classic anti-war novel, interspersed with poetry and songs, performed by Mick Jones and Black Fox, with local readers. Tea and coffee available. Retiring collection to cover costs.
